Cats Protection: Get involved: National Cat Awards
The search is on for the UK's favourite feline with Cats Protection's National Cat Awards 2012 and we're on the prowl for entries.
Designed to honour the real-life stories of bravery, friendship, survival and heroism in the cat world, there are four main categories:
Hero Cat - Cats that save the day!
Best friends - Where a feline friend has radically improved the quality of human life
Most Incredible Story - Belief-defying, true stories from the cat world
Outstanding Rescue Cat - Fabulous felines adopted from animal welfare organisations
Winners will be announced during a prestigious award ceremony to be held in London in August 2012. The awards are open to any living cat in the UK and owners will have until 31 May 2012 to tell us why their cat deserves to be in the limelight.
Simply fill out the online form complete with the supporting statement of no longer than 200 words explaining why your nominated cat should win his/her category.Winners will receive a trophy and a three month supply of cat food.
